Letters to David Stuart, 1789, 1794.

On 1789 June 4, Lee reports on the proceedings of the first session of Congress concerning the preparation of a customhouse system; compensations to be made to the President, Vice President and members of Congress; an import bill; the judiciary system; the fifth article of the Constitution; and the health of President Washington. On 1794 December 10 he writes defending his character and briefly notes the conclusion of peace with the Six Nations; diplomatic negotiations with Great Britain; and the domestic agitations in France.
